We are the Smiths: Rawness... Vulnerability... and Love

For those of you who don't know, I have recently been faced with an instance at work where I was sort of forced to resign. Not legally, of course. I absolutely dote on CHG, my team and the job; however, it just wasn't working out for me so I got to make a choice.

I've decided I'm going to take the summer off and maybe try to go back again when another position, better fit, opens up. Or... maybe I'll just explore that entrepreneur life. ;)

I'm going to continue my life-coaching, am going to start doing Microblading and going to start creating my Corporate Wellness programs.

God is funny, and maybe he is trying to tell me something?

Prior to resigning, Kelsie and I have discussed Fostering. We have extra space in our home and a ton of love to give. It was weird, I woke up one morning around 4 or 5am and I swear God was telling me something. So... that is also another endeavor we will be exploring. We both want more kids but neither of us want to get prego. # Selfish The good news is, there are lots of children who need love.

Luckily, I have an amazing relationship with the divine right now and being so connected I haven't a worry in the world! <3 #ThankYouBabyJesus

Don't get me wrong, I still have my struggles, but with God on my side, things are put back into perspective much easier and more quickly for me.

I totally went through some grieving after my resignation - mostly sadness and anger - but at the end of the day, it is what it is. And when we are able to "it is what it is" things, we get to put ourselves back in order and realize it all works out how it's supposed to. (After I throw things and say the F word a lot, of course!) Luckily, I have amazing family and friends who sure know how to make a girl feel loved. <3

Through this, our trip to Mexico and some other experiences this past month, I've learned something about myself. I absolutely LOATH injustice!

Injustice, for example: someone who says one thing and does another (aka it's okay for them, but not you), someone who - like Trump - abuses their power, money and status to bully others, or... people who take advantage of others when they are at a disadvantage. (Aka some drivers, and others in the service industry in Mexico, taking advantage of conversion rates. Or.. even our own companies inside the states, cable for instance, charging our friends an arm an a leg when in reality they could cut their bill in half if they just asked.)

I mean, I totally get it from a business perspective, but come on! What I don't get, is the adult bullying. At all, whatsoever!

It's real and some people may not even be aware of it. They may be just control freaks, captain save-a-hoes, or straight up bully's. Or.. like my therapist likes to say, they are Child Like Personalities, brilliant and want they want.

Either way, it's not just happening to our kids. It's happening in our workplaces, our society, and relationships. And it's not ok! Especially for the quiet ones, who don't dare (or are scared, or.. or.. or..) to stand up for themselves. I know I'm fierce and I will ALWAYS stand up... Regardless of the consequences!

It's not about Civil Rights, Equal Rights or any other rights for that matter It's basic HUMAN rights! We all deserve kindness, patience and fairness.

Sometimes though, I've learned, I get to bow out gracefully to stop abuse. And that's ok. Hopefully, seeds get planted and change may be made. If not, that's okay, too. Of course I hope for the first!

Then I'm reminded, it's out of my hands and in God's. I am NOT the judge.

So.. this month has been exciting, and sad, to say the least. We of course had soccer (in snow... believe it or not), planted some life, played some Bingo, reinvented Happy Hour, Purchased a new Truck and Trailer and visited Mexico!

Mexico was amazing and relaxing. we met a lot of new friends during our travel and are looking on going back yearly to meet up with them.

If you even need to relax, go there. There isn't much to do, the weather is very much like Utah and you can see God on top of Mt. Solmar.
