Happy Hall-a-who? Ween!

Halloween already? I'm pretty sure last time I checked it was February... oh where does the time go?

Did you know Halloween colors are black and orange because orange represents the colors of Fall and the Harvest, while black represents the death of Summer? (I sure didn't... Thank you, Leonardo!)

Fall is one of my most favorite times of the year. It's a reminder that life has a process; letting go of that which is old to prepare us for that which is new. Just like the seasons, we, too, have the ability to change and be vulnerable... and this year has been full of it!

It was a busy month.... going strong, as always. Miah completed her very first book report and project. It was on a book about a wolf who was the runt of the litter (Runt), and over 100 pages - longest book she ever did read! She had to recreate it in some way and she chose this.

She did such a good job her teacher asked if he could keep it as an example for future classes. (Awe..)

Next to that was of course soccer games, end of Fall ball for Sparta, Gardner Village witch watching, punkin' carving extravaganza(s), craft night, Thriller & shopping sprees, Libra/Scorpio celebrations (Happy Day of birth to Alycia and Ariane), baby girls last year dressing, parading and partyin' at school, trick-or-treating, mending of some bridges, celebrating with the bests, and finally some insightful news.

We had an Angel lady at a Halloween party we attended who gave readings and she told me it was my time for recalibration. There will be twins in my future (ummm.... uuuhhh.... two?!) and I have 23 Soul mates who have chosen to reincarnate with me to assist me in my growth (23? I could see that...).

She also said Archangel Uriel is on my side reminding me to find the trust and faith in life I once had and to stop letting fear keep me in the shadows; it is my time to ascend. (Hmmmm...)

It was all very interesting, to say the least. I've pondered why things happen the way they do, but I do believe there is meaning even when we can't quite see it.

We'll see what the future holds... until then, just breath and LET.IT.GO.

Happy Halloween!

It's so harrrrrd, to say goodbye... to yesterdaaaaaayyyeeeeyay!

Ain't that the truth?! It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

For me personally, I have a lot of unanswered questions that I keep trying to seek some sort of enlightenment on. But the fact of the matter is - I may NEVER receive it, and that has to be ok.

The only way to free yourself from the prison of the past is to choose to be here today.

It goes to show you, sometimes we're not meant to know. Letting go and trusting there's some lesson for growth is the only way.

I've had to come to a lot of cruel, and not so cruel, realizations these last few months:
  • Things you think may never change, do.
  • People you thought would always be there, won't.
  • I never realized how focused on that "fantasy" I really was.
  • I am FAR from perfect (Say whhaaaat?!).
  • Sometimes it's inevitable.
  • It takes two, always.
  • Guilt is a heavy burden to carry and one of the most wasted emotions.
  • Sides will be taken.
  • Time machines are not real--> Cords linked to others giving them power over you, is.
  • When red flags appear early on,  listen to them.
  • Giving up, no matter how hard it is, is not an option.
  • That telephone game we used to play as a child, is still alive and thriving even into adulthood.
  • Thru the toughest of times is when you find out who's really meant to be a part of your story.
  • Financial responsibilities only apply to few.
  • The things we are drawn to - and pushed away from - are likely mirrors reflecting those things that we wish to improve on, or things that we want to let out and shine.
  • Full detachment may be the only way to heal.
  • Forgiveness is possible.
  • There's two sides to every story.
  • If you don't share the same values, it's not right. Even if the values you believe, they later believe, too.
  • Never settle.
  • Our purpose here is to learn, expand and grow.
  • Choose someone who loves you for you.
  • Everyone we come into contact with is a teacher, helping us to learn who we are.
  • Being with your pain helps healing.
  • If you notice a trend, it most likely will not change.
  • No one is responsible for how we feel.
  • Unresolved relationships affect growth. Try to reconcile if possible.
  • We are not here to perform for anyone else, nor they for us.
  • Take time.
  • Don't be afraid to face yourself, even if it is the hardest thing you do.
  • Everything to the right of the 'but,' is what you're really trying to say.
  • If neediness and insecurity are projected... it's never really about you.
  • Just because you wish the world would stop, it doesn't.
  • We impact more people than we think.
  • Sometimes the worst of times bring great opportunities for bonding.
  • A lot of the things we struggle with have been passed down to us from generation to generation.
  • One of the happiest times in your life, is when you let go of the things you cannot change.
  • Sometimes our purpose is to build someone up, just to let them go.
  • Our lives are built on our mistakes, just as much as our successes.
  • There are things we don't want to know, but have to learn.
  • Heart walls DO exist.
  • Our mistakes can help prevent others from making the same.
  • It's ok to let our little ones see us vulnerable and sad.
  • Trying to be ok, 100%, by yourself... is one of the hardest things to do.
  • When we let go of what we are, we become what we might be.
  • It is true... to truly love, you need to love and be ok with yourself, first.
  • And finally, our greatest lessons come from the hardest of situations... so love and forgive yourself - and others - let go of what no longer serves you, and be honest about things that may be extremely hard for your loved ones to hear... NO MATTER WHAT!
My goal is accepting duality - good and bad - in all things, trusting the path on this journey and coming to this outlook:
"The only way to pass a test is to take it. I am at the point now when I can observe an opportunity to pass a spiritual test even though the situation appears negative." Mutant Message Down Under

Another Year Older

Can't believe it's been 11 years already.  I remember bringing her home and she was the tiniest little thing, even at 7lbs 14oz.  Such an amazing little being.

She knew how to give a scuzz at the ripe age of six months,  walking at 10, talking shortly after and the sweetest little mullet one ever did see!

Every year we celebrate her birth in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. This year was no different. Swimming, floating the river and visiting the secret gardens is what we do.

Unfortunately Miah had a tragic experience floating the Provo river earlier in the year, so this time she was terrified of what might happen. Not that I blame her because I, too, almost drown in that damn river!

Nonetheless it was a success, no injuries and no near death experiences.

She actually had three celebrations: Lava, one with her Pops and one with friends. Of course she got spoiled, had fun and made memories.

August is always a busy month for us. She participated in her very first soccer tournament-Sparta Cup. They unfortunately lost, but there's always next year. ;)

School started... and now she's a 6th grader. Can't believe next year she'll be in Jr. High already. (Know how I know I'm old? ^^That's how!)

The end of the month is always Mountain Men Rendezvous in Ft Bridger, WY. Good times there as well, with family and friends.

It's a beautiful thing watching her grow into this strong, loving, sassy little tween. (Let's be honest, I could deal with a little less sass, but she IS her mother's daughter.)

She is an extremely blessed and loved little girl and for that, I am thankful. I believe it's true it takes a village to raise a child and I could not do it without the love and support of mine. To those of you who help me raise this little girl, thank you!

Until next August. ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY GIRL!
