This year has been a whirlwind... Last time I checked it had just just begun. So many adventures have been had, and of course, lessons learned.
Since my last post, lets see... soccer, birthday(s), Napa, Baby D's Birth (I love being a new Auntie), new job, camping, soccer, PRIDE Festivities, Surf Fest, Summer Solstice celebrations, Pallisades (new fave home for a week), wavering friendships, Jackson Hole Whitewater River Rafting, boating, more soccer, backyard adventures (games, fires and Spiral Jetty), therapy, High School, more soccer (Varsity!!), healing, Lake Powell, new friendships, moon ceremonies, hikes, unfortunate deaths (tear), work travel, Ted Talks, and did I mention soccer?
Wait, what?! High School.... and Varsity?!!
Yeah, I know. Yes, I am now a proud mother of a tenth grader. (Gulp) "Have kids" they say. "It'll be fun" they say. Who are 'they' anyways?
I'm not going to lie, 'they' are right! Have there been struggles? Of course. What is life without them? But I must say, being a Mom to that little is one of my most proudest journey's yet.Yep, she made Varsity and I'm pretty sure that is one of her most proudest accomplishments yet.
It's amazing watching something you helped create go from 7lbs and 21" long to this beautiful little lady (just stop). 😍😭
The older I get, the more I get and life is precious my friends. And short. Before we know it these days will pass and be a mere memory. Hold onto it tightly. Cherish the ones who walk with you and never forget the lessons.
Until next time, who knows when, throw your hands up high and enjoy the life you live.
