We went to Mesquite for Miah's first out-of-state Soccer competition and it was a blast! They didn't win, but they are working hard for their upcoming one in March (They lost one and tied, two).
Nevertheless, it was a good time for all of us. Miah had her bestie Trista join us, and of course Kels came, too. I love how much fun we can have with just us four and I love the relationship Miah and I are building. She is seriously my everything!
Shortly thereafter, I realized it was time... I enjoyed Kelsie and my time together so much that I finally made her mine all mine! (Lol) She is it!
It's funny, I've been terrified of relationships since my last, but mostly I wanted to focus on "my kind of proper healing." But I have never met anyone like her. Never have I ever been able to be with someone who is so supportive, loving, nurturing, whom my friends and family absolutely adore, and who lets me be ME; like the real me.
Plus, she is the best kind of "Step-Mom" to Baby Girl, which is most important to me.
So...... sorry ladies, I'm officially spoken for. I know you're all heart broken, but your special someone is out there, too. (ha ha)
Alright, alright, enough of that. :)
What else big happened? Ohhh... I booked Kenya!
For those of you who don't know, I am currently going through a Life Coaching program (Ample Wellness Coaching coming soon) - which also started this month - and I have a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Kenya this May.
We are going to be taking over donated, and purchased, Football (aka Soccer) items for the kids, as well as assisting in building a Cultural Center while we are there.
I've always wanted to go on a Humanitarian trip, but it has never seemed to work out until now. My friend Bob, Miriah and Jenn are also joining me and we get to stop in Dubai on the way. Hopefully we can make it to the worlds tallest building and the indoor skiing complex while we're there.
If any of you have any used soccer items, or would like to donate funds, my GoFundMe page can be found here: https://www.gofundme.com/4syu8qck
Everyone kept saying how much snow we were going to get this Winter and they were right! It's been snowing like crazy and has been oh so beautiful. We've been able to spend some time camping and in the Mountains Snowshoeing and it was gorgeous. Miah loved it, and so did we! Next up will be Cross-country skiing.
Finally, we ended the month - like we do every January - up at Sundance! I love the people watching/meeting, film seeing, and memory making that is had during these two weeks. Each year it never fails to feel new.
This year we saw Sonita. It's a documentary about a young lady, going against her culture, becoming a rapper singing/fighting to end the selling of girls for marriage. It was amazing and truly inspiring seeing how courageous she is, as well as realizing how lucky we are here in the US. If you have an opportunity, I highly recommend this film!
Welp, looks like it's soon to be my birthday month... yep, MONTH! Stay tuned... this years party is a little different.
Happy New Year <3
