Why yes, yes I do think my day of birth is a great day! Shouldn't we all? It is the day we made the choice to be one of the luckiest to take on this challenge we call life. To learn, to fail, to grow, and learn some more. So again, yes... I think that is something worth a month long celebration.
Every year I have a theme party; this years theme was an Anything But Clothes (ABC) party, and it was a success!

It also just so happens to be the month many important people in my life were born as well. Dreem Lee, Ms. Duchess Rodriguez, my person - Christy Williams (we got our cute B&C anchor matching tattoos) and last but not least, my cute lil nephew Nicky.
Ahhhhhh... and of course, it's the LOVE month. Funny how society has put so much pressure on one day. The one day we're supposed to celebrate our significant other. Shouldn't we do that every day? ha Or.... doesn't our anniversaries cover that, too? Sheesh!
Don't get me wrong, I love, love, but this year it was just Miah and me. Not gonna lie, it was nice. No pressure to do anything at all! We had a little 'Singles' Valentines dinner. Miah was so cute and wanted to get everyone a single rose since they didn't have a valentine. The the next day, Kim forgot her rose and purse so Miah left her a note with her rose to remind her. She has such amazing little heart.
She had her very first valentines dance, too. I don't remember ever having any dances in elementary, but hey! I have to admit, it was the cutest damn thing I ever did see. They had all the kids fill out dance cards prior to the dance with the song, and partners, for each song. I thought that was brilliant! No awkward girls and boys standing on the opposite side of the gym staring at each other like "uhhhhhh.... now what?"

Last but not least, we ended the month in California. We visited Huntington, Laguna, and Newport Beach, then spent a night in San Diego. I live such a boring life. NOT!
Seriously though, I truly am thankful for it all and moreso for those who share it with me. I've seem to have a few people I care about fall off the face of the earth - or should I say friendship status - this past little while. It's interesting to see how as I get older I realize who's really meant to be a part of my story for the long haul.
Sam said it best "what's nice about getting older is... we don't even have to weed people out anymore, they do it for us!"

Thank you family and friends who made this birthday special for me... and for those of you who've parted ways... I got nuthin' but love for ya!
